If you are not terribly picky, and it doesn't say, the basic ingredients are okay...as long as it doesn't have corn syrup in it.

You can tell from the label. It should have some approval as kosher, and there are symbols which stand for kosher. The most common is a U in a circle.

Look on this website and click your country's flag. It will show you a whole bunch of legit kosher symbols.
